When you contact Right Movers, the first thing that we will do is to schedule a moving consultant to visit your home or have someone give you an estimated quote over the phone. Just tell the consultant about all of the necessary details and choose the services that you want to avail, and then, he or she will give you an accurate cost estimate.

Required information include special packing requirements, re-assembly and assembly needs, desired packing services, the layout of your rooms, inventory of the room’s contents, and other relevant details for the relocation. Whether it is a long distance, special, residential, or office move, this company can design a cost-effective and efficient moving plan for your situation. The plan covers the loading, packing, unloading, unpacking, and transportation process of your move. It also includes details of additional services that you may avail like vehicle moving, storage, and third-party services.

Moving Checklist

We offer this checklist of item you should be mindful of in months and weeks preceding your relocation:

​2-3 Months before the Relocation

• Take note of your moving date
• Evaluate schools
• Do house hunting
• Look for city guide reviews
• Know whether your employer will reimburse the cost for your relocation. Determine how it can be dispersed and the reimbursement rate
• Consider donating some of your stuff or have a garage sale to reduce the total moving cost

1-2 Months before the Big Day

• Contact Right Movers to schedule a moving consultation
• Rent or purchase your new residence
• List everyone that you must contact before relocating
• Acquire change of address cards
• Research and review requirements for I.D. applications
• If you have children, coordinate with their new schools
• Contact insurance agents
• For insurance claims, take photos of your old and new home

2-3 Weeks before the Moving Day

• If you did not avail a packing service, then you should start packing 2-3 weeks before the move
• Coordinate with and contact your service provider, weeks before the big day
• Schedule to have utilities connected to your new location before moving in there
• Clean your old home before moving out
• By law, any service provider cannot transport flammables, paints, ammunition, aerosols, cleaners, and paints, so dispose of them properly before relocating
• Drain the gasoline and oil from your power tools

7 Days before Moving Day

• Contact your family, and confirm to them the actual date when you are going to move
• Provide the company with your phone number, so we can contact you anytime
• Clean and empty your freezer and dishwasher
